Jul 3, 2012 · This book is the second in this mini-series or arch of the over-arching Drizzt novels. I'm re-reading the series from where I left off and this book and the one before it are new material for me. I like getting to see a change in the status quo. In the last book, we get to see Gauntlgrym, which has been talked about for ever.
Publication Order of Anthologies. If reading the Drizzt series, read in this order: – The Dark Elf Trilogy – The Icewind Dale Trilogy – Legacy of the Drow – Paths of Darkness – The Sellswords – The Hunter’s Blades – Transitions – Neverwinter Saga – The Sundering (Just The Companions if reading about Drizzt) – Companions
Dahlia and Drizzt in Gauntlgrym. The Neverwinter Saga is a sequence of four books written by R.A Salvatore and is the seventh entry in his long-running The Legend of Drizzt series. Jan 25, 2007 · R.A. Salvatore, Andrew Dabb, Tim Seeley (Illustrator) Adapted by the famous books by R.A. Salvatore, Forgotten Realms Omnibus combines all three books - Homeland, Exile and Sojourn - into one great book! This story takes you from the moments before the birth of Drizzt to the point where he leaves his home world and ventures to the unknown.
Drizzt vs Tiago is one of my favorite duels in fantasy. I have to disagree with Ghost King that one is my low point for the series. Not a big fan. Granted that is mostly from the fallout of everything than the actual battle.
Lolth values chaos and strength. Drizzt's mere existence causes chaos among her children and he is the epitome of Drow martial prowess. When Lolth demands Drizzt love her, to his face, in person, and he spurns her, she lets him live. Drizzt's existence serves her, it's the only explanation.
May 11, 2023 · The Crystal Shard. Despite being the fourth book chronologically, The Crystal Shard is the first book to be written with Drizzt as the main character. It is significant for more reasons than being Drizzt’s debut. It also has the feeling of openness that the later books in the Forgotten Realms series don’t.
Jan 1, 2009 · When the Spellplague ravages FaerĂ»n, Drizzt and his companions are caught in the chaos. Seeking out the help of the priest Cadderly–the hero of the recently reissued series The Cleric Quintet–Drizzt finds himself facing his most powerful and elusive foe, the twisted Crenshinibon, the demonic crystal shard he believed had been destroyed

Our first campaign took a little over 3 years. You can't have the build up, character attachment, and story be in depth in a 1.5 hour movie. Stories like this lend themselves way better to a long series where accomplishments take longer and seem high stakes. I think a Drizzt/Companions TV series would be far more enjoyable.
